Uber Technologies opened to trading as of May 10th, 2019 on the New York Stock Exchange. The initial public offering (IPO) is $45 per share which puts the company’s valuation at $82.4 billion.
With an uncertain environment, the CEO says success needs to be measured over a time period of five to ten years.
Uber has a validated funding ecosystem through numerous angel and venture capital investors. Moreover, the company also moved to invest in scooter and bike sharing, food delivery (Uber-Eats), freight hauling and autonomous driving.
